Biting/Swollen

CAUSE

Lacquer layer that is too thick, or process of spraying is done during a gloomy day. Moisture trapped within cannot be released and too thick of the lacquer layer will ‘bite’ the paint underneath.

SOLUTION

Re-sand the surface to remove the old paint. Re-paint under the hot temperature (maximum 33°C) so that it will speed up the release of moisture or solvent trapped within and can help the paint layer underneath become truly dry.
